Firelight Cover Markets
Firelight Cover Markets show how the protocol's shared staking capital is allocated to onchain cover. The dashboard above remains visually unchanged; the reference below explains capacity, utilization, portfolio allocation and staker risk.
Firelight uses shared staked capital to support elected onchain cover markets. Each market can have its own capacity, utilization and risk profile while drawing on the wider Firelight capital base.
Available capital represents the capital base that can support cover, while total coverage measures the amount currently allocated to active protection. The live values can change as strategies enter, renew or leave cover.
Coverage utilization compares active coverage with available capacity. Higher utilization means a larger share of the supported capacity is committed to active cover obligations.
The cover dashboard can break risk down by protocol, chain and strategy. This is important for stakers because diversification and concentration affect how the shared capital pool is exposed to different DeFi risks.
A validated covered loss can ultimately reach staked capital after the applicable protection buffer is exhausted. This is why Firelight staking rewards and cover-market risk should be evaluated together rather than as unrelated parts of the protocol.
They are onchain cover relationships backed by Firelight's shared pool of staked capital.
Coverage utilization measures how much available cover capacity is currently allocated to active protection.
Staking capital can support cover obligations, so validated losses can affect the shared staking pool.
A validated claim can affect staked capital according to the active Firelight cover and slashing rules.
